Understanding the True Crime Community (TCC); Youth Targeted Violence and Weapons Iconography A new wave of targeted violence is brewing in plain sight. The True Crime Community (TCC) is not your typical true-crime enthusiasts, it provides a space for the extreme fringes to radicalize toward targeted violence. The online subculture exists across social media platforms, interweaving past shooters together and aestheticizes mass attackers. Through sharing interest in the same cases, creating digital media and fan art, and viewing livestream attacks, it can provide additional incentive to youth radicalizing individuals toward Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE). Join us for an exclusive briefing with Allizandra Heberhold, LMSW, the leading expert in the TCC and NVE. Leveraging data collected from over three years of undercover monitoring, direct communication and support deradicalizing with TCC members, she will decode the unique language and warning behaviors of this digital subculture. Thursday, 6 August 2026 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm ET Location: This webinar is hosted exclusively on the CDSE Adobe Connect online virtual platform.
